Over two days, in May 2016, LNG's Steve Galloway will consolidate exercises assimilated so far in the Atlanta syllabus program with application of internal techniques to introduce and or develop the Nei Gong process. Nei Gong is a process rather than an application. Practitioners use Qigong as an application to help practitioners connect to their energetic body. By developing the physical aspects of Qigong exercises, practitioners turn their attention to internalized practices to understand how to lead qi.

The May 21st - 22nd event will examine existing material in greater detail, introduce the concept of 5 Elements within the context of Daoist creation theory, and expand on material contained in Damo Mitchell's two books, The Four Dragons and Heavenly Streams.

The event is open to newcomers and in keeping with LNG Atlanta's syllabus program, will be accompanied by an online notebook featuring supporting written material and suggested reading.

Lotus Nei Gong Hunyuan Qigong Course with Steve Galloway

Over two days students will be introduced to Hunyuan, or "Mixed Circles" Qigong as well as the Drunken Dragon Dao Yin. The course is suitable for existing students in this ongoing program of LNG's syllabus courses in Atlanta, and it is suitable for newcomers or returning students wanting to review previous elements of the syllabus covered so far.

Mixed Circles

This exercise system goes deep into the congenital energetic pathways of the eight extraordinary meridians. The Hunyuan training system helps practitioners manage channels normally too deep within the body to work with through more conventional Qi Gong systems. The quality of the movements combined with specific intention begins to activate a series of automatic internal rotations which are required in order to awaken the deeper elements of the Jing Luo system.

Dao Yin

During the weekend students will also work with "Drunken" Dragon, one of a set of four Dragon Dao Yins which work on opening joints and mobilizing the spine to a far greater degree. Movement is combined with controlled intention and breath work to help in the purging process.

Steve Galloway continues LNG's Nei Gong syllabus in Atlanta GA on November 7th - 8th with a two day course covering physical conditioning, remaining practical work with Ji Ben Qi Gong and a review of the year's material. The course expands on material covered in the supporting book, Daoist Nei Gong, and will focus on physical conditioning, completion, and review of Ji Ben Qi Gong in preparation for 2016's series of courses.

Nei gong is a process which uses Qi Gong as a tool to connect to the energetic body, and successful practitioners regularly return to fundamental Qi Gong practices to sustain their training. In addition to remaining Ji Ben Qi Gong exercises not yet covered, and continued work in connection to and regulation of the energetic body, the November 7th - 8th weekend is designed to ensure students have a thorough understanding of practical content covered in the course book Daoist Nei Gong to facilitate material which we are covering throughout 2016.

The course is ideal for students who have missed material dealt with throughout 2015, and for newcomers. The weekend is balanced with new material designed to complete the current component of the LNG's Nei Gong syllabus.

Improving flexibility helps students connect to their energy body, and the weekend will continue it focus on physical conditioning with a program of stretching and static postures.

To maximize time for practical work, a course note book will be available prior to the event which includes recommended reading, theoretical concepts, technical information, and other miscellaneous material.

Nei Gong Foundations course with Steve Galloway May 16-17, 2015

Course price is $190

“Zhuji” is a term used by alchemists to describe preparatory neidan stages purposed with replenishing original essence, original breath, and original spirit for use in later stages of the alchemical process. The principle is in keeping with Sanbao, or the Three Treasures paradigm covered in February.

Lotus Nei Gong's(LNG) May 16th – May 17th weekend similarly continues the February 2015 weekend which concentrated on basic physical conditioning in preparation for our developing nei gong program in Atlanta. In addition, Zom(Steve) will cover the remaining exercises in LNG’s Ji Ben Qigong set on a physical level.

While this course is a continuation from the February course, it is not a requirement to have attended the February course in order to attend this course.

Nei Gong Foundations Course with Steve Galloway

Lotus Nei Gong(LNG) senior instructor Steve Galloway returns to Atlanta in February 2015 for a two day long event dealing with the foundation stages of Daoist energetic practices.

On Feb 7th-8th, Steve will work with Ji Ben Qi Gong, a principle component in LNG's nei gong syllabus. You can see a demostration of the 8 exercise set here. Over two days, Steve will also discuss the role nei gong plays in the Daoist energetic arts.

This is a Nei Gong Foundations course. Progress in the energetic arts is helped by improving physical fitness. By lengthening muscles and tendons, practitioners can loosen joints to help flush stagnation and improve energetic flow for the nei gong process. To this end there will be an emphasis on physical stretching.

The course is the first in a sustained program of courses that LNG is running in Atlanta. LNG's nei gong syllabus is already being taught in the UK, Scandinavia, and France. LNG is teaching its Qi Gong Certificate program in the United States, however that course is aimed at teachers, whereas our program in Atlanta is ideal for students who want to develop their skills without having to undertake teacher training.

Concepts for this course are covered generally in "Daoist Nei gong - Philosophical Art of Change", written by LNG's Damo Mitchell and published by Singing Dragon.

We had a terrific time with senior Lotus Nei Gong instructor Steve Galloway this past weekend. Everyone went home tired and sore with a smile on their face. As one participant has said, "This is not your typical gentle Qigong". The last group shot in the gallery attests to that!! We are all laid out on the floor.
